Rubber pads - the right choice for sensitive surfaces

When changing from terrain and loose ground to asphalt, concrete or other sensitive surfaces, the question often arises as to how best to convert the steel tracks of your excavator. If your machine is too big for entire rubber tracks, rubber pads are ideal for not damaging sensitive surfaces. Here we explain what types there are and which rubber pads are best suited for what.

WHAT DIFFERENCES ARE THERE?

Basically, you can differentiate between bolt-on, clip-on and roadliner pads. Both bolt-on and clip-on rubber pads are attached relatively quickly to the underlying steel floor plates. Labor costs are minimized because your machine doesn't have to stand still for long. Roadliner pads, on the other hand, are mounted directly onto the steel chain. This ensures optimum stability and safety. But no matter which solution you choose: all of our pads are made of high-quality rubber, which provides the best possible protection for the surface.

BOLT-ON-PADS

These rubber pads are best for you if your excavator regularly travels on different surfaces. They attach securely and securely to the pre-drilled steel track plates with four bolts for on-road use. If you then go off-road, they can be dismantled relatively quickly and easily.

CLIP-ON-PADS

Clip-on pads are the right choice for your excavator if it is rarely used on asphalt surfaces. These rubber pads come with a fixed mount on one side and a secure screw mount on the other side. This allows them to be clamped and mounted very quickly and flexibly on the excavator's steel floor plates. Another advantage of this solution is that the floor panels do not need to be pre-drilled.

ROADLINER PADS

Your excavator is very heavy and is mainly used in asphalt areas? Here we recommend our Roadliner Pads. These are screwed directly to the steel chain and thus offer optimal stability if you are mostly on the road. They consist of heavy-duty steel floor plates set in a rubber block.

But roadliner pads are not only worthwhile for use on a single machine. You can also invest in a fully assembled Roadliner chain. So you can switch from a steel track to a rubber track very quickly and also attach it to several machines. This is particularly worthwhile if you have a large fleet of vehicles or a rental fleet. With a one-time purchase you are well equipped for all requirements and can fulfill all needs and wishes.
