We can now present you with a solution for this: together with SITECH Germany, HOCH Baumaschinen has developed a controller with which the 6-way leveling blade can be used on wheel, delta and telescopic loaders and controlled fully automatically. HOW DO THE 6-WAY BLADE CONTROLS WORK?
Our Terrox 6-way dozer blade can be attached to various carrier machines such as wheel loaders and skid steer loaders. The dozer blade is controlled using proven machine control systems such as laser, UTS or GPS. Our photos here use the Trimble GCS900 system. The UTS control has the advantage that it is more precise (accurate to within 1 cm) and also works without a network. Of course you can also use the sign with GPS if you already have such a system.
The receivers for the corresponding signals, the sensors and the hydraulics for the control are installed on the shield. A display is mounted in a holder in the driver's cab, via which basic and hydraulic settings, such as a desired 20 cm removal, can be made. In addition, a control box is installed there that can be used to switch from manual to automatic mode, as well as a joystick with which the blade can also be operated manually in the six directions.
In automatic mode, the controller now receives the system's environmental data and automatically aligns the sign according to the desired settings previously selected. At the push of a button, the blade moves down and levels itself automatically to achieve the set removal. The controller regulates the movements of the blade, the driver only has to take care of driving. This means that extremely precise grading work is also possible with wheel, delta and telescopic loaders.
By the way: the sign is also equipped with a push-off plate. In this way you can also compact directly, at the same time the plate provides more stability.
WHAT IS THIS GOOD FOR?
This solution is ideal for you if you want to carry out fine grading work with your wheel loader or skid steer loader. You can use your machine with a dozer blade, but you don't have to do without the precision of an automatic machine control. This is useful, for example, for the construction of halls and warehouses, sidewalks, platforms, sports facilities or parking lots and generally for all work that you want to add the finishing touches to. If you use the 6-way shield with a UTS controller, you have the additional advantage that you can use it independently of the network. This is particularly helpful, for example, in hall construction, where you often cannot receive a GPS signal along the walls.
WHO IS THIS SUITABLE FOR?
With this new development, you can use your existing wheel, delta or telehandler for fine grading work without having to invest directly in a bulldozer. If you tend to level smaller areas or only occasionally, it often makes more sense to convert an existing wheel loader than to buy a new machine straight away.
