WHAT IS iDig?
iDig is an excavator control system. It supports you optimally in your excavation work by showing you the current position and position of your bucket blade in real time. This is done on a powerful and robust touchpad that is intuitive and easy to use. The digging depth control system is suitable for all your machines, regardless of manufacturer.
HOW EXACTLY DOES iDig SUPPORT YOU?
The system supports you during excavation work by showing exact dimensions on the control box, where exactly and how far you have to excavate. You can view depth, incline and route . The screen and LED display will then help you excavate the desired area. The display can also help you when leveling, drilling and setting fences. So the iDig system shows you all the information about the position of your spoon edge. You don't need a leveling device, a second man and you don't have to interrupt your work by constantly getting out. This saves you working time and reduces the risk of accidents. Many earthworks, civil engineering and gardening and landscaping companies (GaLa Bau) benefit from the iDig system precisely because of this reduction in labour.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Using small, weather-resistant sensors, the system localizes the height and position of the bucket edge. The sensors can be placed freely on your excavator and are charged via solar cells. The first installation of the system per machine takes no more than 2 hours. Videos and graphics guide you through the installation step by step. An interactive help menu also helps you with questions. Within this installation, the data of the machine and the bucket are recorded and saved. This allows the system to later calculate the dimensions of the digs for the machine.
IS THAT IMPRACTICAL AND EXPENSIVE?
A single iDig system can be used on up to 100 machines. Only the brackets for sensors and displays have to be attached to each machine. Changing over from one machine to another usually takes two minutes. The work can already begin. This reuse means that you only need to buy the system once.
